Welcome!

You’ve found the website of Anna Louise Lucia, writer of romantic suspense.
If you like deeply emotional romance, edge-of-the-seat action, physical, overwhelmingly gorgeous, flawed heroes, and heroines who find a well of strength deep within them, then I think I’ve got something for you. Stick around, visit my blog to see what I’m thinking about today, or find out more about me and my books as you browse.
It’s going to be the busiest summer I’ve ever had…
As I’m writing this, in a few days I’ll be off to the Romantic Novelists’ Association conference in Chichester, where I’ll be delivering a workshop. I’ll be back on the 8th July - on the 19th July I’ll be leaving to visit my good friend and critique partner Julie Cohen  in Maine. We’ll be joining the fabulous Kathy Love  for a talk and signing at Rumford Library on the 23rd July. Then, from 30th July, I’m also attending the Romance Writers of America conference in San Francisco! This will be a very big deal for me, as I’ll be one of hundreds of romance authors signing books at the Literacy Autographing!
I come home on the 5th of August. My brother gets married on the 9th.
Phew.
I only have one more weekend at home between now and the middle of August. My garden will go to pot. The dayjob backlog is going to be epic. The travelling’s giong to be gruelling. I shudder to think about Husband’s diet while I’m gone, and what will Minnie-Kitty do without me to sit down so she can hide under my skirt and lick my ankles?
Summer at home is going to happen without me.
And you know what? I’m glad. Not to be leaving Husband and cats behind, not that - I’ll miss laughing with Husband, and tripping over the feline horde - no, I’m glad, I’m even GRATEFUL because this is a symptom of one thing: the publication of Run Among Thorns.
After years of working and writing and hoping, I finally got that book published and it’s out. I’m going to be travelling thousands of miles to sign it for fans, and talking to audiences who want to hear what *I* have to say about *MY* book.
I’m humbled, happy and still more than a little stunned.
All the best, Anna
